Before this match, we had got our Fang Green Jersey and we got the winning luck with the same as well.
BR Echo won the toss and elected to bat first.
Though we lost the toss, we had a plan of bowling first and luckily, the opponents decided to bat first. Rahul Dev & Chirag Hegde was asked to open the bowling for BR Fang. Rahul Dev came out successful in the powerplay by taking the first wicket of their top order Left Hand Batsman Vinoth Sekaran who could have become a threat to us. It was an amazing catch from the slips by Varun Prasad to dismiss Vinoth Sekaran. Then came Harsh Chandra who was playing with me for the first time and proved his excellence by taking two wickets in his first spell. Greger made a partnership with Harsh Chandra to bowl an economical spell in the middle overs. Aditya Patil coming into attack, getting hit for a six and boundary in the first two balls of 20th over, finally ended up his over with the most important wicket of the Opponent Captain Gaurav Saxena which was the key moment of this game for BR Fang. With some handy contribution from Shainky (36 runs), BR Echo ended up with 181 runs all out in 29.2 overs.
Following the first innings, Mohamed Rizwan and Mohit Verma went to open the batting for BR Fang against a good bowling attack. Mohit got out early to a stunning catch from Gaurav Saxena in the slip area. Then, it was me who played aggressively against all the bowlers in the Powerplay and got the team score to 49/2 in Powerplay. I scored 44 runs off 37 balls and got out by miscuing. Later, BR Fang was losing wickets to Echo bowlers at regular intervals which got the team under the pressure scenario. The match came to almost last four overs where BR Fang required 38 runs off 24 balls. Aditya Patil & Harsh Chandra were in the crease. Harsh Chandra scoring the much needed six of 27th over and Aditya Patil on the other end playing the much needed innings (37 Runs off 26 Balls) for BR Fang, got the match results to Tie.
For having a result, both the captains agreed to proceed with the Super Over.
