BR Fang won the toss and elected to bat first.

With winning the toss, it was easy to select the decision of batting first. Ground dimensions being smaller comparitively, we had set ourselves a total of 240+ for the opponents. With that mindset, Mohit Verma & Ashok Rajanna went to open the innings for BR Fang. One of our openers Mohit Verma got out so soon scoring two back to back boundaries. Later, it was an amazing display of partnership in the Powerplay between Ashok Rajanna and Mohamed Rizwan scoring 80 runs in 45 balls with an excellent strike rate from both the batters. Ashok Rajanna scored 39 runs in 23 balls and Mohamed Rizwan scored 40 runs in 25 balls before losing their wickets in back to back overs after the powerplay. Then, came an excellent batting display in the middle overs between Arun P and Chandra Simha scoring 84 runs in 42 runs with Arun P dominating the bowlers in this partnership. Arun P scoring his first fifty plus score in this internal tournament scoring 55 runs in 25 balls with 200+ strike rate. With a very good contribution in the end from Varun Desai (24 runs in 17 balls), Aditya Patil (37 runs in 33 balls) & Manas Tudu (16 runs in 12 balls) as Finishers, BR Fang ended up scoring a massive total of 268 runs in 27.3 overs. Unfortunately, we missed 300 score but ended up with what we were looking for.

Following the first innings, Mano & Anish were given the new ball to initiate the bowling for BR Fang. Their opening batters showed some stability before losing their wickets to our left arm orthodox bowler Anish. Chandra Simha though went wicketless in his entire spell had the control of the Dakota batters without letting them score freely. Harsh Chandra and Manas Tudu were smart enough to keep the batters silent in the middle overs each taking three wickets together. Anish being the best bowler took 4 wickets for 24 runs in 6 overs with one maiden over. With the top order batsman collapsing, their lower middle order showed some stability which added some 100 runs to their total. When BR Fang was missing the closing link, Mohit Verma came into action to get the last wicket of BR Dakota which ended their innings with 202 runs in 29 overs. 

Not to forget, the aggression in batting and the control in bowling from BR Fang to win this match was phenomenal and outstanding.
