Self Introduction & Team Fang

I'm Mohamed Rizwan (shortly called by the name "RIZZI") who got shifted to Bangalore in the year 2015 for my Post Graduation Courses. Initially when I got shifted to Bangalore, I was away from my most passionate sport for a while. I had left Bangalore in 2017 post my studies to pursue my career. Later in 2018, my job got transferred to Bangalore and I had an opportunity to explore my passion through Playo platform. That is when I had first met Sanjib Das and his friends who used to practice Cricket in KIOC Centre. 

Yes, it was in the year 2018, my passion 💗 for Cricket got acknowledged in association with Sanjib Das & Bangalore Revenants Cricket Club. I represented Bangalore revenants as Wicket Keeper & Top Order Batsman. Since then, it had been a memorable and treasured journey for life. During the time, I had an opportunity to play under various captains - Sanjib Das, Avik Neogi, Sumit Agrahari, Ajith Sankar, Prashanth VS and so on. 

Bangalore Revenants Cricket Club played its first cricket tournament in the year 2019 under the Captaincy of Avik Neogi at Nuance Sports Ground, Sarjapura and I was happy to be part of it. From then onwards, this club has played so many tournaments, been successful and have won so many trophies under different captains. This club had also organized its first internal tournament in 2020 around the month of February. But due to couple of lock-downs, the auctioned players got unavailable and the tournament got suspended.

Over the time, few old players left and many new players joined the club. As everyone knows, the leap to a senior position in a bigger environment can come at any stage. Yes, it was around April 2022 when I had been promoted as Captain to one of the teams in Bangalore Revenants Cricket Club. Initially, I had been given the responsibility of BR Greyback and later got promoted to BR Fang as Captain. 

Being a Captain for one of the biggest clubs in Bangalore, it is a huge responsibility to lead, support, inspire and represent the members of my team players fairly and consistently at all times. As a Captain, I'm accountable for the team's good / bad performances and leading the team to victory. 

I'm always proud 😍 to see my players performing and getting promoted to top teams of BR. Some players include Mohit Verma, Khalid Mudassir, Kratant A, Prem Sagar, Darshan KP, Rakesh Yadav, Aditya Patil, Chandra Simha, Logesh, Manas Tudu, Royce Fernando, Bhaskar Basak and so on.

With the success and addition of many players to Bangalore Revenants Cricket Club, the BR management decided to organize internal T30 tournament (BR Internal League 2022) initially with 6 teams (BR Blizzard, BR Czar, BR Dakota, BR Echo, BR Fang, BR Greyback) and later one more team (BR Hawk) got added to manage the additional players who got missed out in the auction.

In this tournament, I was given the responsibility of leading team BR Fang, and I had got an opportunity to select a bunch of extraordinary match winners and team players. Internal team of BR Fang includes Andrew Samuel, Ashok S, Aditya Patil, Chandra Simha, Manas Tudu, Mohit Verma, Varun Prasad, Sandeep Kakalarmudi, Arun P, Manu Sharma, Chirag Hedge, Danny, Varun Desai, Anish Sudhan, Logesh, Rahul Dev, Ashik Verna, Greger George, Harsh Chandra, Hruthik, Pulkit Bajpai. In the midway of this tournament, we had two additional players who got added to BR Fang - Rahul Jain, Mano G.

MATCH 2 - BR FANG VS BR ECHO
